There are advantages to working in an office so close the Branford CT waterfront. It was such a gorgeous sun shiny day today I decided rather than having lunch in the office I'd go down to a small local deli, grab a sandwich and take a drive down to Branford Point to enjoy my lunch.
During the summer months I would very often enjoy lunch at Branford Point so I could take in the views of the marina and Branford Harbor. Today it was exceptionally beautiful with the colors of autumn falling upon us and the relaxing calm of the water. It literally took my mind off the stress of the day and filled me with such a feeling of peace and serenity I took off the rest of the afternoon!

Have have been a California girl since 1961, but born in New Haven and have been to Branford many times...how wonderful it was to see these pictures, it makes me want to come back to my roots for another visit! Thanks for posting you can send me pictures anytime!

Donna - Fred carvers friendship ball led me to your blog ... all I can say is wow as one who loves water I can certainly see how this area would take your mind away from the stress of the day ... thre is something about the draw that water has that is restful to the soul.

Gay - I am a born and bred New Haven native too! Where in New Haven are you from orginally? I was born in the Annex and spent the latter years in Morris Cove which is where I currently reside. I think it's time to come back to your roots for a visit.
George - It was an absolutely picture perfect day to take these photos and a nice way to relax for a few hours.
Carole - I always try to find a little time for myself to relax and unwind and there was no better place to do it yesterday than at Branford Point.
Donna.. I like that idea... I've been mentioning that we should get together. Let me know what days are good for you, and we'll come up with a halfway mark to meet or some other plan.

Beautiful uplifting views of Branford CT, makes me want to move there! I live minutes to Misquamicut Beach and Watch Hill, but I certainly can appreciate the beauty of Branford!
