Pardee Morris Houe - Open House Sunday September 27, 2009
On Sunday, September 27, 2009 there will be an open house at the Pardee-Morris House for the East Shore neighborhood from 1:00-4:00 pm.

The Pardee-Morris House located at 325 Lighthouse Road in the neighborhood of Morris Cove in New Haven CT has not been open to public since 2000. A combined effort by Morris Cove neighbors and the East Shore Management Team has helped to bring about the comeback of this historic treasure.

Contractors have been working diligently over the past few months on the Pardee-Morris House which is owned by the New Haven Museum painting, fixing windows, cutting hedges and restoring water and electricity.

The open house will take place on the lawn of the Pardee-Morris House. There will guided tours, a musical program, children's games and light refreshments. Plan on bringing a chair, lawn chair or picnic blanket and spend a few hours to enjoy the great beauty and history of the Pardee-Morris House.

Donna, that is one huge house, and I am sure that the tours will be will attended.
George - It sure is big and I'm looking forward to getting an inside tour to a little piece of history in my own backyard.
Donna what a beautiful home! since this is the last weekend of the summer I hope many will attend this open house.
Jennifer - I hope there's a big turnout too. We've been waiting a long time for the Pardee Morris House to come alive again!
Donna, I wish you much success at your Open House tomorrow and Wow! What a house!
Wanda - You're one week too early. :) The open house is next Sunday. I'll be taking lots of photos of the event and and the inside of the house.
Donna - What a historic treasure. I love the look of this place...SO New England and so different from where I live now in SoCal. Looks like fun - hope you can take some more photos to share.
Jeff
Wow this home speaks volumnes. I love the history and all the windows.
Good luck with the sale, you will be a great listing agent for the buyers.
It's going to be a fun time and I hope the weather is as nice for the event as in these photos. I look forward to seeing some of your pictures, particularly of the interior.
Jeff - It is a genuine treasure to all of us who live in the area and so wonderful to see it finally being restored.
Missy - Sorry if my post came across as if this was a listing. The Pardee-Morris House is an historic home in my neighborhood which has undergone quite a bit of renovation and is going to be re-opened to the public with this neighborhood open house now that it has undergone quite a bit of restoration.
Ann - I hope the weather holds up too. We've been enjoying autumn like temperatures the past week or so. I can't wait to see the inside and hope I'll be able to take lots of pictures.
