In the beautiful West Shore beach area of West Haven CT is the Veterans Walk of Honor at Bradley Point Park. The Veterans Council began the first of three campaigns selling bricks in November 2006 for $50 to honor and commemorate veterans The bricks have personalized messages in charcoal lettering that line the 100-yard walkway.

Built by City Point Construction Co. Inc., the first phase of the walkway and the city's first Korean War Memorial was dedicated in May of 2007.

Along the sidewalks of the Veterans Walk of Honor are commemorative bricks with the names of local veterans.

In the second phase of the Veteran Walk of Honor dedicated in May 2008 a granite memorial was dedicated in honor of Army Pfc. William A. Soderman who during World War II. Army Pfc.
