It's almost here!!
The Durham Fair located on the Durham Fairgrounds at the junction of Routes 68, 17 and 79 in Durham Connecticut is being held this weekend on September 25, 26, 27, 2009.
The Durham Fair established in 1916 is one of the largest agricultural fairs in New England and is entirely staffed by volunteers. The Durham Fair is attended by thousands as I witnessed last year when I had some Hair Raising Fun at the Durham Fair with my granddaughter Brooke thanks to a break in the weather on the last day of the fair.
There is just so much to see and do at the Durham Fair. Visit the petting zoo, take a pony ride or stop by the huge barns filled with farm animals from cows to chickens, llamas, goats, sheep and chickens.

From souvenirs, jewelry, clothing, leather, silkscreen, pottery, arts & crafts to face painting and jams & jellies just to name a few there are endless booths set up from one end of the Durham Fairgrounds to the other .
With over 100 food vendors on site for this year's Durham Fair, the menu choices are endless whether you're arriving for breakfast, lunch or dinner. My granddaughter's mom and stepdad will have three food trailers at the fair this year so if you love fried dough, a tall glass of refreshing fresh lemonade or a hot coffee, latte, tea, chai, capuccino, expresso or hot chocolate, stop by and visit their Doughboy, Brooke's Lemonade or The Coffee House.
